I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix % g' r5 o* |' B0 U5 u. q. o+ a( [. }0 h) x" U. c
